TREAT Users Guide - Reporting

 

Experimenters using TREAT for transient experiments are required to provide TREAT with a test memorandum containing certain types of observations and results obtained during the test and during post­-transient examination. These observations and test results will assist in (1) safety evaluation of future transient experiments in TREAT, and (2) characterizing the experimental environment in TREAT. TREAT staff will provide a detailed list of requested information pertaining to the experiment being performed. Timely provision of such information is of considerable value.

Experimenters are assured that all preliminary reports of post-irradiation observations provided to TREAT staff will be for use of TREAT personnel and appropriate review committees only. Such reports will not be referenced or quoted in external laboratory correspondence or publications without written consent from the experimenter. However, DOE has access to all information in TREAT files for their use as needed.
